We had our first real snow in mid-January and I quickly realized I was in need of some new winter weather gear. These types of realizations rarely happen before I need something. This latest case was no exception and only came to me after I had to clean two cars with nothing but an old, broken ice scraper / brush and some thin work gloves better suited for yard work in the summer.
Like anyone with an Amazon Prime subscription, the first place I checked was the Amazon.com homepage. New gloves and snow brush should make cleaning two SUVs much easier so I found and ordered a pair of Carhart Insulated Cold Weather Winter Gloves and an extendable snow brush cleverly named “Snow Moover“. The clever part comes in the form of a cow on the box. I also found a 100% merino wool hat by Minus33 with great reviews so that was ordered as well.
In a few days my gear arrived just in time to test after a light overnight snow. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Snow Moover brush. Constructed of steel and ABS plastic, it’s extendable up to 50″ and the head angle is even adjustable. This tools makes cleaning the roof of the SUV very quick. I don’t have to climb up on each side with a tiny brush. I would definitely recommend it if you have a taller vehicle.
The Carhart gloves are extremely warm, waterproof and well-made. What more could you want? I was especially surprised by the quality and feel of the Minus33 hat. The tag states “superfine merino wool” so it’s somewhat thin, but still very warm. This would be easy to stuff in a jacket pocket and would be nice to have just in case.
Overall, I was quite satisfied with everything and definitely warmer! Thanks for reading!
